Key Responsibilities and Accountability
- Knowledge of VMware ESX/i 4.1, 5.0, 5.1
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft systems including, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS & Clustering
- Knowledge of daily Windows server administration, including system stability, integrity, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Automated Patch Management and server deployment
- Proficiency in backup integrity and recovery coordination along with disaster preparedness planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and professional appearance
- Knowledge of relevant commonly-used concepts, best practices, and procedures
- Proficiency with Technical Writing using current versions of Microsoft Vizio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Certification as a MCITP, VCP, ITIL v3
- 6 or more years experience as a Windows 2003/2008/2012 Systems Engineering
- 3 or more years experience in VMware ESX/i
- Experience in Windows 2003/2008/2012 Active Directory design, group policies, and domain maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be team player, willing to work in 24x7 support
